How to enable video and audio permissions on Chrome
This guide is written for the Lessonspace platform; however, the same principles apply to most video calling and conferencing tools.
If you're prompted to allow access to your camera or microphone while using a Space, choose Allow in the browser pop-up.
If the prompt doesn’t appear or you've previously blocked access, follow the steps below to adjust your permissions manually.
How to always allow camera and microphone in Chrome
If you use Lessonspace frequently, we recommend setting Chrome to always allow camera and microphone access. This helps avoid permission issues in future sessions.
Open Google Chrome.
At the top right, click the three dots (More) > Settings.
Navigate to Privacy and security > Site settings.
Click View permissions and data stored across sites.
Search for Lessonspace (or
room.sh).Set Allow for both Camera and Microphone.
Once this is set, Chrome will automatically enable your camera and microphone the next time you join a Space.
How to always allow camera access in Safari
Safari will ask you to allow Lessonspace access to your device's camera and microphone each time you sign in or refresh the page.
If you use Lessonspace frequently, we recommend setting Chrome to always allow camera and microphone access. This helps avoid permission issues in future sessions.
Navigate to Safari settings and select settings for lessonspace.com
2. A pop-up will appear. Navigate to camera, click on "Ask", and choose the option "Allow" from the drop-down. Do the same thing for the microphone.
Advanced Noise Cancellation
Advanced Noise Cancellation will filter out any background noise around you. Go to a Space and click Setup. Here, toggle Advanced Noise Cancellation on.
