Recording lessons is the perfect way to keep a record of your tutors' sessions and for further teacher evaluation. Each organization needs to allow to record audio & video streams before you can view any playbacks of sessions.
Please note that by enabling the recording of audio and video, you agree that you've received the consent of either your tutors (if your local laws allow single-party consent) or both your tutors and students (if both parties are required to consent).
Allow Session Recordings
Recordings are opt-in: To enable recordings after signing up, make sure to allow them as shown below.
Login to your Lessonspace account
Click on Settings in the left-hand panel.
Go to Recording settings and toggle Record Sessions by Default on then hit Save Changes.
You can also override recording settings for individual Spaces, which will take precedence over your organization's recording settings.
View Sessions Recordings
Log in to your Lessonspace account.
Click Sessions.
Find the session you'd like to view.
Click View Recording.
The recording will open in a new browser tab. You can play, pause and skip through the recording as needed.
Tip: If you'd like to watch a presentation or screen share instead of following a participant, click Don't Follow in the Follow Participant panel.
Share Session Recordings
You can share lesson recordings with tutors, students or other users depending on your Recording Access Policy.
Before sharing a recording, make sure:
Lesson recordings are enabled.
The lesson took place in a Space that allows recordings.
The users you're sharing with are permitted by your Recording Access Policy.
Open the recording and copy the playback URL to share it with the intended recipient.
Password-protect a recording
If you'd like to share a recording with someone who isn't logged in to Lessonspace, you'll need to set a password first.
Open the recording.
Click Accessible by (or Manage Access, depending on your interface).
Set or generate a password.
Click Save.
Share both the recording link and password with the recipient.
Users who aren't logged in to Lessonspace will be prompted to enter the password before they can view the recording.
Tip: You can reuse the same password for multiple recordings if you'd like.
